garden parties and rooftop fashion shows

Yesterday was one of those days.
Busy yet completely amazing.

It started off as a normal Thursday, but when I got to work instead of working I painted the Unicorn for my wedding (yes you heard me and I can't wait to show you guys!). Instead of lunch I went for some high tea on the green courtesy of John Lewis and instead of going home I went to Crave's underground art/fashion show.

So lets start at the beginning.
My girls Betty, Bee and Lyndsay were whisked away to a Wimbledon worthy hideaway in the middle of Glasgow City, treated to sweet treats, adorable teapots and all the fake grass a girl could ask for. We were completely spoiled rotten!

After our high tea it was time to get on a packed train to Edinburgh and make our way to the Crave show. Safe to say we were all very excited, an underground fashion show that was a perfect fusion of art and punk.

Staged on the roof of a carpark in Leith the show had the energy of an illegal rave, models being styled as they stomped over the concrete floor, amist flashing cameras and blaring music. Drinks were free flowing and everyone was soon dancing the night away.
Whilst I LOVED the collections from Saunt and Sinner and Jacob Birge it was Obscure Couture that stole the show for me. Their whole collection just blew me away, who needs RTW when you can have couture darling?

Are you ready for this Sweetie Darling?

Designers and models out in force
Jacob Birge - The tailoring in this collection is perfect, that camel dress would look amazing on anyone and the colour block coat is the perfect update for the timeless camel coat.
Saunt and Sinner - I loved the use of chiffon with harsher fabrics like leather and wool. That blue coat is definitely on my Autumn/Winter wishlist!

Obscure Couture - A perfect combination of fabric and creative pattern cutting. As soon as I saw this skirt I fell in love, just look at the movement! *swoon*

The dress code for the night was racy so I opted for my Hayley Scanlan skirt and a sheer cami. The fog had descended on Edinburgh so we took full advantage of the rooftop location to get some snaps!

Jacket - Miss Selfridges
Necklace - Tarina Tarantino
Bracelet - Links of London
Cami - Topshop
Under Skirt - The Trash Rack
Shoes - River Island
